FLY FISHING IN VANCOUVER BRITISH COLUMBIA
Pitt River Lodge is a premier fly fishing destination, fishing for trout, steelhead and salmon.
We are a remote fishing lodge located just outside Vancouver, British Columbia. A forty five minute scenic boat ride across North America's only freshwater tidal lake will make you think you are traveling up a remote inlet in Alaska. Pitt Lake is surrounded by three parks which has ensured its natural beauty with its large waterfalls and snow covered peaks.

There are no roads around Pitt Lake nor in the upper Pitt River Valley where our lodge is located. We are situated 7km from the north end of the lake on a picturesque parcel of land right beside the river looking at the Mamquam Icefield located in Garibaldi Park. We are the only lodge on the entire 60 km river system located at the old townsite of Alvin which has a current population of six people!
This is wilderness....why fly to Alaska or up the coast when we have it all and more only a 45 minute boat ride outside Vancouver, British Columbia. We invite you to join us for your next fishing adventure!
THE LODGE
The lodge sits 100 yards from the bank of the Pitt River with an incredible view of the valley. The lodge is post and beam construction which was custom cut with a chainsaw. We have hardwood floors, cedar burl tables and bar and a large covered porch. The dining area has two tables, one a 14 ft California redwood, the other a six foot unique granite one. The walls of the lodge are tongue and groove cedar, with paintings of the valley provided by well known local artist Ross Munroe that are available for purchase.

The sitting area has leather couches and chairs surrounded by photographs of fishermen on the Pitt River by local photographer Nick Didlick, a professional photographer and one of our guides. Don't be disappointed by other "lodges" in the Fraser Valley that are just houses in the city...we are the real thing on a remote river..no power lines, stop signs or cul-de-sacs, just magnificent trees and mountains.
JET BOATS
Pitt River Lodge has chosen not to use jet boats and opted to use rafts. Studies show jets boats to be harmful to fish and their habitat- pressure from the hull of the boats kill eggs and alvin laying in the gravel. If you choose not to stay with Pitt River Lodge please use another guide (See our guides page) that does not use a jet boat on the Pitt River and help save this river for the fish and future fishermen.
